Ten Miles

Ralph's teacher's quorum is scheduled to go an a "high adventure" 50-mile hike (over several days) in July, and I'm planning to go along. I've been trying to get ready so they don't have to drag me along behind them strapped to a couple of saplings. On Tuesday, I went for a 6-mile jog. Yesterday, I ran and walked a total of 10 miles. I probably ran 6 and walked 4. It took me 2 hours, and I got a bit of a sunburn. Maybe I need a hat.

I think I'm slowly getting there. . . . Now I just have to hope I'll survive the heavy backpack and sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag.

  1. That sounds like fun ;) Peter has scout camp for a week in August, so I guess I'll have to get used to sleeping in a tent for a week myself. At least we won't have to deal with backpacks, those can be a pain.

At least you are getting lots of exercise in, right?
