Snow and Such

It snowed 4 inches last night. In May, for goodness sake. Luckily, it had all but melted by the time I had to walk to school.

Yesterday I had pork for dinner, that I'd marinated for a couple days in the fridge with orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberries, and a little curry powder. It tasted so good, and was nice and tender. I also made chocolate and butterscotch chip cookies that were about 6" in diameter (hey, I wanted big cookies). Everybody thought they were really good (me too!).

I didn't go to school on Tuesday or half of Wednesday because I was sick. I'm still not feeling very good today but I knew I couldn't miss any more class.

  1. Wow, that's a lot of snow for May. I remember it snowing on the 4th of July in IF when we were lining up the marching band to play in the parade. Almost cold enough to get my lips stuck to the trombone mouthpiece :(

Hang in there, we hope you are feeling better soon. The weather will get hot all of a sudden one of these days before you know it.

  2. I hope you feel better. Eeeek - snow in May should be forbidden. Your pork sounds yummy. Teddy is coveting the butterscotch cookies.

  3. Tell Teddy I'll make him the cookies when I'm home.
