Blue & Gold Banquet

On Tuesday we went to a Blue and Gold Banquet. Everyone had to bring a cake decorated to the theme of "100 Years of Scouting". Here is the picture of my cake. I decorated NOT Mama.

Here's a side view:

They passed out awards for each cake. Gabe won "Most Invisible" because he forgot to bring one. Here's my award:

Spring break is creeping upon us so soon you'll be able to see us in person. HOORAY!!! By the way, what's with the Knight? you'ld think it would be a pirate with wooden legs.

Sincerely,

Teddy

  1. Wow, you did a really good job decorating that cake, Teddy! You got that nutella on there really smoothly :) I don't know what is with the knight, I didn't understand that one either. Have you guys figured out what days you're coming?

  2. 1. That's not nutella it's icing.

    2. I didn't put it on, Mama did. (I wouldn't really call that decoration!) Though I did put on the M&Ms, the blue icing, and the HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles.

3.Papa says that you should ask Mama about when we're coming because I have no clue.

  3. Papa just made me check this. The knight is moving the way the chess piece knight would.

  4. 1. Ah, I saw the nearly-empty nutella jar in the background and assumed.

    2. Well in that case you did a really good job with the rest of the decoration :)

    3. Haha! I get it!

  5. Great cake, Teddy. I think it would taste even better with Nutella instead of the frosting ;)

Peter made a turtle cake one year for cub scouts and won the award for smallest cake. It turned out great too.

  6. I forgot to add that Petra and Peter are thinking of coming to visit Spokane the week before Easter since Peter gets two "flex weeks" to catch up on homework then. But if everyone is in Rexburg for spring break, that might not work. Let us know when you get your dates figured out.
