French Onion Soup

We're eating Sunday dinner over at Brandon's house today, but since it was only four and we're not eating till 6, and I was hungry, I figured I'd make myself something yummy. So I made French onion soup, which turned out ridiculously yummy. I used about 1/3 of a yellow onion, butter, sugar, beef broth, salt and pepper, and then an end-piece of bread with cheddar cheese on top to float in the soup. Yum. :) I didn't take a picture because I was already eating it by the time it occurred to me, and I didn't want to stop taking it. I have another bread end-piece and some more onion though, so I'll make it again soon and may take a picture at that point.
