Zip. . . . thud!

Yesterday morning, as I was leaving at 5:40 am to go to high council meeting, when I took my first step off of our front porch, zip, thud - I ended up on the ground. The driveway and the road were essentially a sheet of ice. Ouch. Luckily, I didn't hit my head on anything. I was able to get to church OK (limiting my speed to about 15 mph). All the ice melted later on.

We are supposed to have a high of about 40 today, with lows of about 34 tonight, so things aren't too bad around here now.

  1. Ouch, I'm glad you're all right! I haven't actually fallen yet *crosses fingers*

  2. It sounds like you need to wear spiked shoes over there. You probably don't want to hear that our flowers are starting to come up outside - so far the bleeding hearts, shooting stars and daffodils are all poking up. It's been in the mid 50's but then we had five times the normal amount of rain yesterday - 1.01" compared to 0.17".

On the other hand it could be worse, they got 4.03" on the coast at Quillayute yesterday! I think it's time to move to LA where it's supposed to be sunny and 71 degrees today.
